Maple Syrup Symposium (2007)

Today we drove 270
miles to Sault Ste Marie. We stopped in Marathon for lunch and learned about
Poutine, a local favorite. If anyone knows what this is, send us a note with the
description. Our waitress was tired because she had stayed up until 2:00a.m.
reading an Ann Rice book. She plans to read all of the books written by Rice
including ones written under two pseudonyms. She was so sad to hear about
the hurricane and damage in New Orleans because that's the one place she wanted
to visit (Rice's home and the setting for many of her books). We also
stopped at the birthplace of Winnie the Pooh (Winnie is short for Winnipeg) who
was originally a she.
