From Bandera we were headed to Houston via San Antonio and some of the Texas Hill Country. We arrived in San Antonio hungry so we headed straight to the River Walk figuring we could find a restaurant. There are a lot of restaurants clustered in one area. We sat outside of course so we could enjoy the sights.

From the River Walk it was a short walk to the Alamo. It was a Saturday so lots of people around. There was also a cheerleading championship going on so we saw lots of grade school girls with their hair in curlers and slathered with make-up as they killed time before the competition.
