After the javalina incident we visited Fort Davis National Historic Site. Fort Davis is one of most well preserved Army forts of the early 1800's. The first black, Henry O. Flipper, to graduate from West Point was stationed at Fort Davis.

Hospital and some of the patients treated at the hospital.
This is what remains of the church/courthouse/dance hall/school. It served many
functions.
From Fort Davis we drove to Big Bend National Park.
