We drove up to Birmingham for the weekend and toured around town. Downtown is a fountain with slightly disturbing statues. We think it was supposed to me a nice scene of animals listening to a storyteller. But the storyteller is some kind of evil looking hooved, horned animal. Hmmm.....

Who knew it snows in Alabama!!! We happened to be in Alabama for their two weeks of winter....high temps in the 30s and snow, sleet and rain. Picture on the far right is John, Peggy and Abigail.
